Reuters is retracting an earlier report that China’s Sichuan Auto was in talks with General Motors to purchase the HUMMER Brand.
“It’s a complete rumor. We have never had discussions with GM, nor are we interested in HUMMER,” a senior company executive said Wednesday.
As GM roles out its plan to Congress today, we expect to have some talk about the HUMMER brand. The extensiveness of the announcement is unknown – but coverage will continue on HummerGuy.net Wednesday evening.
