HUMMER Helps Battle Wildfire Over Holiday Weekend

Hummer Red Cross H3 Fire
What started as a hay fire in Seeley, California quickly escalated into an inferno requiring action from seven fire departments and over 100 firefighters. Providing on-scene relief to those battling the blaze were members of the San Diego/Imperial Counties American Red Cross chapter. Trained chapter volunteers were able to bring much needed food and water to the firefighters with the help of their HUMMER H3 – one of 19 HUMMER disaster response vehicles in use by the American Red Cross nationwide. The use of HUMMER vehicles stems from the 6 year, $4 million partnership established between the Red Cross and Hummer two years ago. Through 2010, a total of 72 HUMMER vehicles will be donated by the GM Foundation.
