Illiana HUMMER Club Supports Education in Gary

Every year residents in Gary, Indiana hold a “Back to School” parade to support education efforts in the area. This year the parade had over 100 entrants, and included members the Illiana HUMMER Club.

Following the city’s police and fire departments, 10 club members with HUMMERs of all types rumbled through Gary’s downtown to the amusement of parents and children who lined the streets.

The Illiana HUMMER Club has members in two states – Indiana and Illinois (hence the name) – and was set up to support community initiatives and lend their off-road rigs and expertise to local authorities during weather emergencies such as flooding.

Kudos to clubs like the Illiana HUMMER Club that support their communities!
