HUMMER Martin Walsh

Martin Walsh was the #1 guy at HUMMER from 2006 to late 2008, and will soon be leaving General Motors after 33 years to work for The Interpublic Group – an agency that handles plenty of GM’s marketing needs.

Walsh will step into a newly created position at Interpublic as the central point of contact for all General Motors initiatives.

We had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing Mr. Walsh on several occasions, and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.

About Walsh:

Martin Walsh began his career with GM in 1976, serving in a number of executive sales and marketing capacities with GM of Canada until October 1995, when he transitioned to an executive role with Cadillac, becoming general director of marketing. In 2000 he was named to director of VSSSM at General Motors of Mexico. In 2003 he was appointed executive director of Sales and Marketing Support for VSSM. He has a bachelor’s degree in history and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario; he also completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard School of Business.
