Robby Gordon and Team HUMMER Visit 2009 SEMA Show

As General Motors began its restructuring process, motor sports saw some of the biggest cuts. Throw in a questionable future for HUMMER, and teams sponsored by the off-road brand were left in doubt for most of 2009. On Monday, HUMMER committed to resume their sponsorship of both Robby Gordon’s Dakar HUMMER H3, and Rod Hall Racing’s Team HUMMER. Both were on hand Tuesday for an autograph session at the 2009 SEMA show.

Following the SEMA show, Rod Hall and Team HUMMER will be heading to Baja to start pre-running for the infamous Baja 1000. This year will mark the 42nd running of the Baja 1000, and Rod Hall remains the only car or truck driver to compete every year since the race started in 1967.

Team HUMMER will field the H3 and H3 Alpha race trucks in the 1000, two proven vehicles with multiple stock-class championships under their belt.
