After struggling with qualifying rounds the Carnegie Mellon team that built the driverless H1 has claimed the number one spot for the upcoming semi-finals. During earlier rounds, the Hummer rolled and crushed some navigation components, but the team remained confident in their ability to be ready. Looks like they were — now only time will tell if they’ll claim the 2 million dollar prize for a first place finish.
