Before every big off-road race, Team HUMMER and the rest of the competitors have to go through what’s called “Tech and Contingency.” The process is basically a show and shine parade with fans everywhere, and a few officials that look over the truck to make sure it qualifies for the class it’s been entered. Officials also inspect and tag all safety equipment to make sure it’s up to par. Check out the video of this process from the recent Baja 500 race, in which Team HUMMER owner and captain Rod Hall set a new record as the winningest driver in Baja 500 history. We should have more footage from the actual race soon – stay tuned!
