General Motors officially filed for bankruptcy Monday morning giving the U.S. Government between a 60 and 70 percent share of the troubled automaker. President Obama will address the nation on the issue around 11:55 a.m. eastern time, immediately followed by GM’s press conference with President and CEO Fritz Henderson.
New details on a HUMMER sale are unlikely to surface, but just in case, we’re bringing GM’s conference live which will begin shortly after noon eastern time today.
Yesterday, we learned that GM was closing on a sale of HUMMER (which GM confirmed Monday morning) with an undisclosed buyer, and experts have been saying that the bankruptcy shouldn’t slow down the progress already made in liquidating HUMMER.
