The American Red Cross announced today that it has entered into a partnership with HUMMER — a partnership that will provide the American Red Cross with vehicles and cash totaling $4 million. Through 2010, a total of 72 HUMMER vehicles will be donated by the GM Foundation. The Foundation will also contribute $100,000 annually for six years to strengthen communities’ ability to respond to emergencies. Some Hummer H1 owners have already teamed up to become Red Cross certified, and use their vehicles during emergencies, most recently along the gulf coast region.
