Hummer proved that high gas prices and political turmoil wouldn’t slow them down in 2006 — sales numbers are up nearly 25% from the year before. Total Hummer sales hit 66,617 – and over 50,000 of those were Hummer H3s. The increase in sales makes Hummer one of the truck industry’s fastest growing brands. Now, with the new South Africa plant online we’re bound to see an even bigger increase in 2007, when sales abroad bring in an even higher percentage of total Hummer sales.
