Martin Walsh was the #1 guy at HUMMER from 2006 to late 2008, and will soon be leaving General Motors after 33 years to work for The Interpublic Group – an agency that handles plenty of GM’s marketing needs.
Walsh will step into a newly created position at Interpublic as the central point of contact for all General Motors initiatives.
We had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing Mr. Walsh on several occasions, and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
Martin Walsh began his career with GM in 1976, serving in a number of executive sales and marketing capacities with GM of Canada until October 1995, when he transitioned to an executive role with Cadillac, becoming general director of marketing.
