2010 HUMMER H3T Makes Debut on Drummond Island

2010 HUMMER H3T (9) 480

The setting couldn’t be more appropriate when the 2010 HUMMER H3T made its first public appearance last weekend on Drummond Island – a place known for challenging off-road enthusiasts with its hilly, rocky, and wet environment.

The 2010 HUMMER H3T we took to the Island hadn’t seen much time on the road, let alone off-road. With only 50 miles or so on the odometer, we almost felt bad taking the brand new H3T off-road and getting her muddy. After about 5 minutes, we were over it.

The H3T was impressive off-road. Despite its slightly longer wheelbase and extended overhangs, it held its own against everything else in The HUMMER Club’s advanced group, which included 6 H1s and a modified H2. We’ll have more on the H3T’s off-road experience and the HUMMER Club’s Drummond island event in the near future – but first we’ll take a look at the changes for 2010.

The most obvious appearance differences in 2010 are the new exterior colors. Ours was painted Silver Stone Metallic, which is the 2010 replacement for boulder gray. Other new colors for the 2010 H3 and H3T include Red Rock Metallic and Canyon metallic.

2010 HUMMER H3T Flex Fuel 300The 2010 H3 and H3T will still offer the same 3.7L and 5.3L engine options, though the 5.3L V8 will now be Flexfuel capable – making good on HUMMER’s promise to have biofuel powertrain options across its entire vehicle lineup by 2010. The 2009 H2 was the first in the HUMMER fleet to run on Flexfuel.

Aside from the biofuel 5.3L and new exterior colors, everything else on the 2010 H3 and H3T will remain the same including the dimensions, body style, performance, and fuel economy numbers.

2010 HUMMER H3 and H3T models are currently scheduled to be available at dealerships in the early part of the 4th quarter of 2009.

  1. The pics look great. We in Shreveport were excited to get this new truck on our production line. Most of us are sorry to see it go. The H3 brand never really got off to the best start considering how the economy went. I just hope whoever ends up with the brand will continue to built on what we started.

  2. GM needs to use this in a TV ad for the 2010 Hummer. You need to advertise in order to sell.If more people knew what we know about Hummers they would sell a lot more trucks.
